On data
Privacy Policy
Last updated May 1, 2026
We collect as little personal information as we can while still running a thoughtful business. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. If anything is unclear, write to privacy@brasssailor.com.
What we collect
When you place an order: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone (optional), and payment details. Your card number is handled by our payment processor — we never see or store the full number.
When you create an account or sign up for our list: email, and any preferences you share with us.
Automatically: basic device and browsing data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed — through cookies and similar technology, used to keep the site secure and to understand which pieces resonate.
How we use it
To fulfill orders, send you confirmations and updates, and provide customer service.
To send you our occasional newsletter — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
To improve the site, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the business: payment processing, shipping carriers, email delivery, analytics, and our customer service tools. They use your data only for the work we ask them to do.
Authorities, when we are legally required to share it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand traffic. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings. Some site features rely on them — disabling all cookies may break parts of the experience.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@brasssailor.com and we’ll respond within thirty days.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as we need to in order to provide service, support warranty claims, and comply with tax law — typically seven years.
Children
The site is not directed at children under thirteen. If you believe we have collected information from a child under thirteen, please contact us and we will delete it.
